Technology, E-learning and the Web (TEW)

FULLY BOOKED This two-day residential course is for all careers staff who want to understand how technology, e-learning, data and the web can enhance the delivery of information, advice and guidance to students.

This brand new course from AGCAS/The University of Warwick will:

  • Distinguish a range of aims, roles and contexts relevant to technology, e-learning, data and the web.
  • Systematically identify a range of technology-based solutions.
  • Critically evaluate relevant aims, roles, contexts and technology-based solutions, taking into account current and future need.
  • Analyse practices, stakeholder needs and the benefits of using a range of technologies.
  • Develop confidence in using a range of technologies to enhance the delivery of IAG to students.

The course is delivered by The University of Warwick in collaboration with AGCAS; it is an optional module for CEIGHE MA, PG Diploma and PG Certificate registrants. Registrants are supported by materials and resources from both the AGCAS and The University of Warwick’s websites and considerable blended learning resources.

Participants will be required to complete at least one day of online/blended learning and pre-course work before attending. The residential will be an opportunity to demonstrate their learning from the pre-course work and to network and support each other to enhance further learning.

Whilst the course is attended by registrants as part of the AGCAS/Warwick CEIGHE qualification it is also open to non-registrants whose course support and materials will be provided solely by AGCAS.

The cost for this two-day residential course includes the training sessions, refreshments, meals and en-suite accommodation for one night.
