Vacancies on AGCAS Training Group (Scotland) - Deadline Extended

12 February 2020

The AGCAS Training Group (Scotland) is seeking to recruit four new members.

About the group

The group currently comprises 7 full time members and one co-opted member, and meets three times a year (usually twice in person and once remotely). We plan and organise up to three training events a year, on a wide range of topics. These are usually stand-alone training events, however we also work closely with specialist interest groups in the region to ensure access to opportunities/events/speakers for the wider community.

The Training Group is also represented on the AGCAS Community Group in Scotland, sitting in the activity area of ‘Conference and Training’.

We work closely with the AGCAS Learning Committee, and support the AGCAS goal of having a robust and interlinked network of national and regional groups. The activities of the group and networking also strongly support the learning, research and knowledge, and community strategic areas.

What we are looking for

We are an active and enthusiastic group, and are keen to welcome members who want to contribute to supporting and developing a diverse and creative range of training courses for our community.

Current members of the group are from institutions across the Scottish region, however the west coast is currently under-represented, so applications from this area are widely encouraged.

Interested?

Please feel free to contact Carol Andrews (Group Chair) (0141 848 3026) with any questions you might have about the group or for an informal conversation.

How to apply

If you are interested in becoming a member of the group, please complete an application form and submit to volunteering@agcas.org.uk. The deadline has been extended to 17:00 on 26 February 2020.
