Vacancies on the AGCAS Equality and Diversity Advisory Group

The AGCAS Board are seeking up to 10 members to form the Equality and Diversity Advisory Group.

About the group

This is a new group, established to support our Board of Directors, committees, working parties, task groups and other volunteer groups by providing advice and guidance on the development of any AGCAS initiatives. 

The group will focus on the following key areas:

  • Support research to develop understanding of inclusivity and diversity within the higher education careers and employability profession and use findings to make recommendations for changes in policy and practice.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to the Learning and Quality strategies to increase access to and progression within the profession
  • Recognise and highlight the practice of those within our profession, and amongst our stakeholders, who demonstrate particular successes in diversity and inclusion.
  • Engage with external bodies, contribute to and influence discussions around improving practices related to our profession and concerning race equality.
  • Working with the Board and Senior Leadership Team, provide responses to external reports and research.

What we are looking for

We are keen to welcome members who have an interest in and a passion for equality, diversity and inclusion across all areas of the higher education student career development and graduate employment profession. We are keen to receive applications from those who have demonstrable experience of being able to advise on or promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
