We are looking for case studies from recent graduates (within 5 years of graduating) for the following 12 What can I do with my degree? titles, produced by AGCAS in collaboration with Prospects:

  • Hospitality management
  • Human resource management
  • International business
  • Landscape and garden design
  • Linguistics
  • Materials science/technology

The aim of the case studies is to offer prospective students:

  • a flavour of the opportunities a degree in a particular subject can deliver
  • ideas on the different career paths they can take
  • a real-life insight into potential careers they can follow after their degree.

How can I help?

If you know a recent graduate who has studied one of the above degree subjects, is in work or undertaking further study or professional training, and who would make an interesting case study to illustrate what they can do with their degree, please get in touch with Research and Knowledge.

Contact the Research and Knowledge team.

What does the case study subject need to do?

Completing a case study is a quick and simple process. We provide a case study template, which follows a question and answer format, and all they need to do is answer the questions, giving details on:

  • what they studied, where and when they graduated
  • how they got their job/got on to a course of further study
  • their typical work activities/what their course involves
  • how relevant was their degree to their current career path
  • what they like most/the challenges of their job/course
  • what their future career aims are
  • their top tips for others wanting to get into their area of work/undertake a Masters/PhD.

They get to approve the final version ahead of publication and it can be a great advertising opportunity for them, their employer and your institution.
