Vacancy on the AGCAS Placement and Work Related Learning Task Group

The AGCAS Placement and Work Related Learning Task Group is seeking to recruit a new member. 

About the group

The group currently comprises 7 full time members and meets three times a year to discuss a range of issues connected to supporting AGCAS members working with students, graduates and employers in a wide range of work related learning opportunities. We are an active and enthusiastic group and are keen to welcome new members working in any role within a careers, placements or employability service who have an interest in work related learning and would be happy to contribute to any of the below activities, as well as bring ideas of their own for research and output.

Over the next couple of years, output from the group will include:

  • Inspiration Guides showcasing the work of a variety of institutions in the provision of work related learning
  • Research activity around placements and work related learning, we can elaborate on this upon request
  • AGCAS web content to showcase useful resources for careers, employability and placements staff engaged in placements and work related learning
  • Collaboration and consultations with external bodies to highlight projects, publications and initiatives
  • AGCAS training days as well as AGCAS Annual Conference provision including webinars, workshops and showcases as applicable

What we are looking for

We are looking for a new member who will complement the existing knowledge base and experience within our Task Group and enable us to represent the diversity of member institutions. We are open to applications from those interested in all elements of the group's work. We encourage you in your application to show us how you feel you can contribute actively to our work and to highlight any areas where you feel you have a particular interest that we could expand into.
