Vacancy on the Employer Engagement Task Group

The AGCAS Employer Engagement Task Group are seeking to recruit a new member to join their group and are interested in nominations from the AGCAS network.

About the task group 

The principal aims of the task group are to

  • Enhance professional practice in the area of employer engagement.
  • Contribute to the fulfilment of the Community element of the AGCAS strategy and its impact on AGCAS members, the Higher Education careers profession and wider society through the delivery of its key objectives.
  • Create a sense of common purpose so all Employer Engagement AGCAS members feel engaged and represented.


Some of the group’s most recent achievements include

  • Organising the inaugural AGCAS Employer Engagement Conference in 2017.
  • Setting up the buddy scheme for early-career employer engagement professionals.
  • Working with AGCAS to feed into training and development opportunities aimed at Employer Engagement staff
  • Designing an E-Induction toolkit for EE new starter.


What our group member’s typically get involved in

  • Discussing and sharing best practice around employer engagement.
  • Developing and delivering training and networking opportunities for AGCAS member employer engagement professionals including the biennial AGCAS Employer Engagement Conference.
  • Conducting research from an employer engagement perspective on AGCAS hot topic issues.
  • Designing bespoke training and development for EE professionals.


The group comprises eight members and meets up to three times a year.

How to apply 

Nominations are invited from Full Members of AGCAS. 

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Employer Engagement task group please email a very brief statement (100 words) telling us why you are interested in joining the task group and an outline for an idea for an event the task group could run or a piece of research we could conduct (100 words).

These can be sent to either Lucy Everett or Mona Vadher.
