Vacancies on AGCAS Disability Task Group

The AGCAS Disability Task Group is seeking to recruit three new members. 

About the group

The group currently comprises seven full time members and meet two or three times a year to provide information, resources and training to support AGCAS members in their work with disabled students and graduates. The task group has established, and intends to build upon, links with policy makers and influential others in order to shape current policies and agendas. Such policies and agendas aim to benefit disabled students and graduates, AGCAS members and the sector in the fields of careers guidance and graduate recruitment. The group’s recent activities include:

  • The 17th What Happens Next?, report on the first destinations of disabled graduates
  • A training day ‘Breaking down barriers: Accessing adjustments throughout the graduate recruitment process’
  • A blog with useful articles and information
  • Online resources on topics such as ‘Explaining your mental health to others’ and ‘Reasonable adjustments (neurodiversity)’

What we are looking for

We are an active and enthusiastic group and are keen to welcome new members working in any role within a careers and employability service who share our interest in helping disabled students and graduates.  We are looking for committed individuals who are keen to contribute to the activities of the Disability Task Group and who will bring fresh ideas on how we can help careers practitioners to support disabled students and graduates.
