The AGCAS Disability Task Group currently seeking two new members

The AGCAS Disability Task Group is seeking to recruit two new members. 

About the task group 

The group is active and enthusiastic and is very keen to welcome new members working in any role within a Careers and Employability Services who share their interest in helping disabled students and graduates. The group comprises six members and meets three times a year to discuss a range of issues connected to supporting disabled students and graduates.  Output from the group includes:

  • What Happens Next? A report on the first destinations of disabled graduates
  • AGCAS training courses:
    • Seeing the unseen: How to spot and support students with non-visible disabilities  
    • Autism and Employability – 2017 AGCAS conference
  • The Disability Task Group blog 

What we are looking for 

We are open to applications from those interested in all elements of the group's work, although are particularly keen on those interested in blogging and spreading good practice with the creation of useful resources for AGCAS members on the website.

How to apply 

If you are interested in becoming a member of the DTG, please submit a short piece (guideline of around 600 words) explaining your interest in joining, any relevant experience and what you believe you could contribute. A Word document would be preferred, as submissions will be circulated to group members to read.
