13 May 2021

Have you considered taking a central role in how we run AGCAS? We have a vacancy for Treasurer and Company Secretary Elect and are seeking nominations.

The Treasurer and Company Secretary oversees the AGCAS finances in line with good practice and in accordance with the governance documents and legal requirements. Supported by the AGCAS Finance and Operations Manager, the Treasurer and Company Secretary will ensure effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity.

The Treasure and Company Secretary chairs the Governance and Risk Committee.

The Treasurer and Company Secretary Elect will join the AGCAS Board on 1 August 2021 and will shadow the current Treasurer and Company Secretary until 1 March 2022. This will enable them to observe the role before taking on the responsibilities of Treasurer.

During the pandemic, the Treasurer and Company Secretary, along with the President and Vice-President has met with the Executive Director on a monthly basis to ensure rapid decision making between Board meetings.
