 Marc commented:

"I feel privileged to have been elected into this role, and would like to thank everybody who voted for me. I am passionate about the value of high quality careers education, information, advice and guidance, for our students and graduates, and also how this can add value to the institutions in which we work. During my career I feel very fortunate to have worked with many inspiring colleagues within the AGCAS community and as President will do my utmost to represent our Association and the values for which we stand. At a time when student employability and graduate employment are more important than ever, it is essential that our voice is heard and that we have the influence our expertise deserves."

AGCAS President Dr Bob Gilworth commented:

"I am delighted to welcome Marc Lintern as AGCAS President-Elect. Marc is someone with a very strong commitment to our association and our professional community. He has already made a very significant contribution to AGCAS, including serving with distinction as Treasurer and playing a leading role in the success of the AGCAS Management course. He brings extensive experience as a practitioner and HE careers and employability leader, covering different regions and different types of institution. I am really looking forward to working with Marc in his new role."

Marc received 175 votes, from a turnout of 224. He will now commence President-Elect induction activities, working closely with the AGCAS Executive Director and Board of Directors, in preparation for undertaking the role of President.
