Data Insights [On-course data] Working Party call for members

Purpose of the working party

The On-course data working party is as one of three groups focused on meeting the AGCAS Data Insights strategic theme.

The principal aims of the working party are to:

  • Consider, explore and feedback to members on areas such as:

- Define student characteristics (e.g. commuter students)
- Explore impact measures. 
- Careers Registration: entry data
- Post Graduate Research (PGR) data

  • Ensure the working party’s activities support the AGCAS strategic objectives.

Interested?

We are looking for seven AGCAS members to join the working party for 16 months.

  • Applicants should have an understanding of the Higher Education (HE) data landscape, and the ability to analyse and understand complex data sets.
  • Group members will be expected to keep up to date with policy developments relating to on course data
  • Group members are required to carry out compulsory working party activities which includes:
  • Attending three meetings per year (regionally distributed)
  • The first meeting will take place on Tuesday 30 April 2019
  • Contributing to analytics projects to support the principal aims of the working party

We will seek fair regional distribiution and representartion across the working party of the various types of institutions AGCAS represents.
