19 October 2016

The 2016 John Roberts Memorial Prize has been awarded to Isla Fay at the University of Cambridge for her work on her PG Certificate in Careers Education, Information and Guidance in HE (CEIGHE).

The John Roberts Memorial Prize is awarded annually, in memory of former AGCAS member, John Roberts, to the best student on a CEIGHE qualification course, delivered by The University of Warwick in collaboration with AGCAS.

Phil McCash, Course Director, commented:

“Isla demonstrated excellent work throughout her course with particular strengths in understanding policy, management and graduate labour markets. She also skilfully integrated theory and practice to a very high level. Hearty congratulations to Isla - and to all our completing students!"

Discussing her experience of undertaking the CEIGHE qualification, Isla said:

“I very much enjoyed the course, and learned so much from it in terms of guidance and careers practice, and theory. The residentials were a particular highlight – it was great to meet colleagues from around the UK. I really feel I developed as a professional because of the course and I would like to thank AGCAS for the opportunity!"
