Do you want to make a difference? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in overseeing the development and delivery of effective careers and employability services to students on the Disabled Veterans Scheme (DVS), a scholarship fund offering disabled veterans free study with The Open University. You will establish, lead and develop a small team delivering enhanced careers support to DVS students including guidance, placements and other opportunities designed to develop their employability and career aspirations.

Working alongside other senior staff in Careers and Employability Services and across the University, you will ensure that all developments to support DVS students are co-ordinated and align with Enhanced Employability and Career Progression strategic objectives within the University. 

We are seeking a skilled communicator with a first degree and a professional qualification in careers guidance plus proven experience of leading and managing others. HE experience would be desirable but not essential in the field of Careers Education or Employability.  You should have a sound understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.
