Ulster University has recently reframed its employability offering in a new Employability Strategy (2018-2023). The Director of Employability will provide the strategic vision and professional leadership to develop, manage and shape a range of integrated employability services to achieve a sector-leading experience for all our students and graduates. The postholder will work with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic (or nominee) and other senior colleagues on the strategic development of institutional policy, plans and provision to ensure employability support continues as a core and critical part of the overall student experience.

The successful applicant will have a well-developed understanding of the UK higher education sector in the broader local, national and international context and an understanding of graduate development and employability.  S/he will have significant and successful leadership and management experience in services or activities which support students’ employability including managing teams and budgets as well as acting as a champion for change initiatives and responding creatively.
