This new full-time position is available at the first opportunity and on a permanent basis.

The starting salary will be from £35,845 up to £40,322 on Grade F, depending on qualifications and experience. Generous holiday allowances, flexible working, pension scheme and relocation package (if applicable).

Summary of the role

We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing College Coordinator and Student Development Consultant to join Student Employability and Academic Success (SEAS) to drive entrepreneurial and innovative developments within the College for Social Sciences and International Studies (SSIS). SEAS is part of the Education and Student Support Directorate and consists of professional services teams that provide a portfolio of educational activities to assist students with the development of their academic, professional, personal, career and employability attributes throughout their time at University.

College Coordinators are the operational leads that coordinate the college-based activities delivered by SEAS across each of the university’s campuses.   Responsibilities include creating, delivering, and informing the design of interventions and initiatives that support students to acquire the skills and knowledge needed for graduate level employment.  The ability to work effectively in one to one situations as well as with large and small groups is essential.  The role involves a high degree of matrix working and influencing across the College, the academic community, SEAS and other professional services.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate entrepreneurial flair, managing projects and significant experience in the delivery of careers, employability or placement learning support work in a Higher Education environment, working with international students and will ideally have a post graduate qualification in careers guidance or a higher education teaching qualification.
