AGCAS Board vacancies: Nominations sought for three important board roles

governance vacancies

The AGCAS Nominations Committee is seeking nominations from AGCAS Full Members for the following Board roles:

Who should apply?

Applicants should have a strong empathy with AGCAS’s mission, together with an in-depth understanding of our work and ambitions.

Nominations are sought from colleagues with a track record of commitment to the work of AGCAS as well as experience of operating within a charitable, public sector or commercial organisation Board.

Expected commitment

Nominees need to be able to commit to the time requirements of the role and the legal obligations of being a trustee. The duration of the term for all three roles is initially three years, with an option of a second three-year term.

All AGCAS business meetings are currently held online. It is expected this arrangement will continue until at least August 2021.

Each nominee will be invited to provide:

  • A 500-word description of why they should be elected to the Board role.
  • A photograph of the nominee
  • A short 2-minute video outlining what you will bring to the Board and why you are standing for the role.

AGCAS will promote the election and the nominees to the wider membership during the election period via the AGCAS website, email newsletters and social media. AGCAS will also promote the election directly to committee, working party and task group volunteers.

There will also be an online Q&A session during the AGCAS Annual Conference (22-24 June 2021) where members will be invited to put their questions to the nominees.
