    Additional Information:

    Student Success Services works in partnership with Faculties and other UWE services to deliver outstanding Library [including Academic Skills], Employability and Enterprise and Student Inclusivity provision for the University. These are essential services in a core strategic areas for the University, enabling our students to succeed and fulfil their potential and impacting on a range of institutional Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] including student recruitment and retention, academic success, student satisfaction and graduate destination outcomes.  

    The role and the department are critical to the success of the University 2020 strategy, including in particular the delivery of “ready and able” graduates, outstanding learning and strategic partnerships. UWE Graduate outcomes measured by DLHE have improved for eight years consecutively and our performance is ahead of the sector.  

    This post has responsibility for the strategic leadership and development of our Employability and Enterprise Services.   As well as leading a team of staff the post holder has a critical role in influencing the strategic direction of employability and enterprise activity across UWE.  

    You will be able to demonstrate a substantial record of achieving improved graduate destination outcomes as a manager of student Employability and Enterprise Services and evidence of delivering continuous improvement in response to student and staff requirements.  

    You will be able to demonstrate innovation and creativity in your approach to service delivery and solving complex problems.  

    You will have an expert knowledge and understanding of national HE policy and developments relevant to Employability and Enterprise and graduate outcomes.  

    With excellent interpersonal skills you will be able to demonstrate your ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external partners. Being able to advocate and influence to effect change is a key requirement for the post holder.  

    You will be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of graduate outcomes data and your ability to use data to drive developments within the service and across the University, including formulating a strategic approach to the development and delivery of targeted activity to enhance the University’s widening participation, equal opportunities and social inclusion aspirations.
