Conference Membership - UK or Overseas

Conference Membership is a membership category aimed at individuals who are not working for an institution with AGCAS Service Membership.

Examples of individuals who might apply for Conference Membership are those working in careers or a related field (but not for an institution with Service Membership), or working for organisations that have dealings with AGCAS. If you are unsure whether this level of membership is appropriate for you, please check with us.

AGCAS welcomes applications for Conference Membership from a variety of sources. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis as to whether a membership application is approved.

Benefits

Holders of Conference Membership are entitled to a variety (though not all) of the benefits bestowed by AGCAS membership. In particular:

•   AGCAS training courses – 20% reduction in price;
•   Access to many areas of the AGCAS website, including an email
     discussion list (AGCAS-Networklink) and some free information      downloads;
•   Membership of AGCAS task groups (Overseas Conference Members      may only do so in exceptional circumstances), but without the right
     to stand as chair for these groups;
•   Access to mentors in relation to AGCAS training courses;
•   AGCAS conferences – reduction in price;
•   Free copies of Phoenix and ARENA.

Conference Membership does not bestow AGCAS voting rights or eligibility to stand for positions on the AGCAS Board.

Fees for 2011-12

•   UK Conference: £80.00
•   Overseas Conference: £107.00

Applying for Conference Membership

1.    Complete an application form (available below).
2.    The AGCAS Membership Applications Team will assess your application
       for approval, along with other applications received in a one month
       period.
3.    You will be notified of the decision approving or denying your
       application.
4.    If your application is approved, you will receive an invoice from AGCAS
       for your membership fees.
5.    Contact us if you experience any difficulties with the application
       process.

Membership cancellation

If you need to cancel your AGCAS membership, you will need to complete a membership cancellation form (available below). This ensures that we have a record of your amended status, allowing us to update our central records.


If items are locked please check that you are registered and signed in to ensure that you can see all parts of the site to which you have been given access.
