AGCAS Staff Recruitment and Development Award

practice in staff recruitment and/or development.
AGCAS Lifetime Achievement Award
Up to five awards per year will be made to individual AGCAS members deemed to have made an
outstanding and sustained contribution to AGCAS and will normally be awarded to those about to
enter or already in retirement.
AGCAS Employer Award for Careers Service Partnership
NEW in 2009
Given to an employer demonstrating an outstanding example of innovative and constructive
partnerships with one or more AGCAS member services. AGCAS members will have an opportunity to
vote for the best of the shortlisted examples.
AGCAS Employer Award for Work-related Learning
NEW in 2009
Given to an employer demonstrating an outstanding example of effective work experience,
employer project work or contribution to student skills development. AGCAS members will have
an opportunity to vote for the best of the shortlisted examples.
AGCAS John Roberts Memorial Prize
Given annually to the best student on the AGCAS/University of Reading Certificate, Diploma or
MA in CEIG HE. It is awarded in memory of John Roberts who was a very active and long-serving
member of AGCAS with a strong commitment to training and professional development, and who
died tragically in 1995.
HECSU/AGCAS HE Careers Service Website of the Year Award
Given to the service whose website demonstrates: good design and ease of navigation; links to
existing high-quality resources; use of original material; imaginative marketing; and regular
evaluation. This award is adjudged by students, with Graduate Prospects selecting the winner
from a shortlist.
