Test User Ability (formerly Level A) - Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing, available Online

  1. Sun 01 Jan 17

    Sun 31 Dec 17

AGCAS offers Test User Ability (formerly known as Level A) psychometric testing via distance learning. Accredited and verified by the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Test User Ability qualification is internationally-recognised and gives you access to over 150 tests from over 15 UK publishers, including paper-based and online materials.
The course is run by Angus McDonald of Real Group. Angus has a good knowledge of careers and extensive knowledge of BPS's test training courses and he has established a good reputation with a number of AGCAS services.

The course can be undertaken as part of the Psychometric Assessment module, within the CEIGHE MA/PG Diploma delivered by The University of Warwick in collaboration with AGCAS. CEIGHE registrants are supported by materials and resources from both the AGCAS and The University of Warwick’s websites. (The module can also be satisfied by the residential MBTI Foundation Programme.)

Whilst the course is attended by registrants as part of the AGCAS/Warwick CEIGHE qualification it is also open to non-registrants whose course support and materials will be provided solely by AGCAS.

Availability via online distance learning means that:
    • Participants can start to study when they want to - they don't have to wait for a course to be set up
    • Participants can study at a time and pace to suit themselves and their services
    • Participants can be in regular contact with fellow delegates and a personal tutor for support throughout the course

    The participation cost includes:
    • all the materials
    • personal tutor support
    • assessment of practical elements of the course online using Skype or similar

(BPS accreditation costs are not included.)

Once we have confirmed your booking we will ask Real Group to contact you and we will invoice your service. It is the participant's responsibility to complete the course assessments and follow the necessary procedures in order to be confirmed as accredited by the BPS.

For information and to avoid confusion: throughout the Test User Ability course you will be required to complete a range of assessments of your knowledge and practical skills related to testing, including the ability to administer tests and provide feedback on test results. These assessments are a BPS requirement. If you are doing the CEIGHE qualification, there will also be the usual Warwick 5,000 word assessment to be completed.
