Current Info Issues - Managing Electronic Content, London

   The aim of this one-day AGCAS course on 14th March in London is to consider ways to manage and present online careers information resources. It will be a forum for sharing best practice.
   
   As technology continues to re-shape careers services and the demand for electronically accessible careers resources continues to grow, so do the issues surrounding how to manage this type of resource. This course aims to address these issues, considering ways to manage and present online careers information.
   
   By the end of the day participants should:
   
   - understand the need to manage electronic resources;
   - understand the differences between managing a physical and an electronic collection;
   - be able to describe a range of techniques and systems that can be used to facilitate management of an electronic collection;
   - have an insight into ways of integrating electronic resources with physical resources;
   - have an appreciation of needs-based and resource-based presentations, and ways electronic information can be presented.
