By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

- describe the theoretical perspectives underpinning careers work and relate these to models of delivery
- recognise the skills necessary to respond to challenge and start to develop those appropriate to their role
- develop a personal training action planThere is some bursary funding available for qualification registrants undertaking this course. Please see http://www.agcas.org.uk/pages/bursaries for details and the Bursary Application Form below.
NB: If you intend to do this course as part of a qualification with the University of Reading you need to register for the module with the University. Once AGCAS has offered you a place on the course you will need to complete a University of Reading Module Registration Form – please see below - and return it as soon as possible, certainly before the course runs, to the University (address on form).
For those of you who have heard about the impending transfer of these courses from the University of Reading to the University of Warwick, then please note that the registration process remains the same until the anticipated handover date of 1 August 2010. Until this time all module registrations will take place through Reading.
If you would like to stay at Warwick on the night before the course please contact Warwick Conferencing (Scarman Reception Desk Tel: 02476 221111). Please note that AGCAS will not be involved in these 'extra' arrangements and you will be required to pay Warwick directly.
