Mentoring and Coaching, Nottingham

   This course is now full.

   A one day course exploring and developing mentoring and coaching skills with peers. At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

   
   - describe the role of the mentor and of the coach and differentiate between the skills and activities
   - develop an appropriate contract
   - provide one-to-one help for a colleague, peer or client
   - determine strategies to further develop own mentoring and coaching skills
   - describe and, if appropriate, be willing to take part in the AGCAS mentoring scheme

   QUALIFICATION COURSE

   This course is free for participants who have already attended the 5 day residential Training the Trainers course as it is a required element of the Training the Trainer AGCAS/Reading optional module. Others may attend but will be expected to pay at the rates shown. Please note that the course is not specifically designed to enable participants to set up a student mentoring project.

   NB: If you intend to do this course as part of a qualification with the University of Reading you need to register for the module with the University. Once AGCAS has offered you a place on the course you will need to complete a University of Reading Module Registration Form – please see below - and return it as soon as possible, certainly before the course runs, to the University (address on form).

   For those of you who have heard about the impending transfer of these courses from the University of Reading to the University of Warwick, then please note that the registration process remains the same until the anticipated handover date of 1 August 2010. Until this time all module registrations will take place through Reading.
