Working with young offenders

Aim:
What opportunities are there for graduates to work with young people who have offended or are at risk of offending?Format:
This event will aim to look at a range of different organisations who work with this client group. We have brought together representatives from a Youth Offending team, the Probation service, Prison service and the Youth Federation to explore what they do, how they work and opportunities for graduates. Each speaker has been given 30 minutes to consider the following: who works for the organisation; qualifications, skills and experience required; where the opportunities are; what makes a successful worker in the organisation and what kind of issues / clients they deal with.At the end of the presentation there will be a panel for Q and As.
Plan for the day:
The day will run from 10-3pm, the completed programme will be sent out nearer to the date.

Please note that this event is primarily for AGCAS members in the North West region. As this training course is run regionally by AGCAS members, the AGCAS Office will not be involved in bookings.
