   This paper provides an analysis of some of the key employment and skills challenges facing the economies of the North of England. It begins by briefly considering what an employment and skills focused vision for the North of England might look like, and presents some options for the sorts of goals that might be aspired to.

   The University of St Andrews has created a Working in UK regions careers wiki aimed at students and graduates looking for employment in a particular region of the UK.

3. Regional snapshots of collaboration in relation to graduates

   This presentation gives an overview of collaborative work in the regions (England) and highlights where higher education institutions, regional development agencies and Job Centre Plus are working productively together.

   This is a presentation from Catherine Benfield of HESA detailing their latest news. The presentation was delivered at the AGCAS North West DLHE Training Day in July 2009.

    

5. Regional graduate job websites

   A list of regional websites offering graduate vacancies and recruitment services to both jobseekers and graduate recruiters, compiled by AGCAS members and partners from all over the UK.

6. Break-Out or Break-Up?

   This report examines the role of four HE careers services in relation to their institutions' strategies for employability, enterprise, employer engagement and PDP. The universities examined are Birmingham, Central Lancashire, Lancaster and Liverpool John Moores.

7. Working Class Students and the Career Decision-Making Process

   This report examines how working class students approach career decision-making. It is based on a study of final year working class undergraduates from Edgehill University.

8. Phoenix

   Phoenix is the official journal of AGCAS. It is distributed free of charge to all AGCAS members three times a year in January, May and September (October during a Biennial year).
