Vacancies on the AGCAS Psychometric Assessment Task Group

The AGCAS Psychometric Task Group is seeking up to five new members to enhance their activity and expertise. This is an exciting time to join the group to develop and move the task group forward, implementing the AGCAS strategy and supporting all careers and employability staff who advise clients on psychometric testing.

About the Task Group

The group is involved in AGCAS staff training and developing web resources for practitioners, such as an informative analysis of psychometric tools currently within higher education. They recently ran a training course for practitioners on current and new psychometric tests used by employers. The group also works closely with external specialists such as Team Focus, Graduates First, and Realise Potential to name a few. 

The group's plans include:

•    Reviewing and updating online resources and communications 
•    Developing training and networking opportunities for AGCAS members
•    Liaising with relevant specialists and organisations to maintain current knowledge and expertise
•    Disseminate latest thinking and best practice across the AGCAS community. 

Person Specification

The group are seeking up to five new members who will complement the existing knowledge base and experience within the task group, and enable the group to represent the diversity of AGCAS member institutions. If you have a particular remit, interest and knowledge in psychometric assessments and can bring expertise, enthusiasm, creative thinking, and a little time to the task group then we would like to hear from you.

You will need to be able to:

•    Attend three meetings per year, two of which are face-to-face
•    Devote time to carrying out research 
•    Liaise with psychometric assessment providers and/or employers
•    Help to develop shared resources
•    Take part in organising and delivering training.
