AGCAS is currently seeking applications from members for two positions on the Internationalisation Task Group, the focus of which is to help shape the careers support available to international students at UK Universities. The group meets two to three times annually to work on a wide range of events, conferences and resources.
Justin Richardson, Co-Chair explains the focus of the task group:
"Our main focus is to help shape the careers support available to international students at UK universities. We also have a secondary focus around encouraging UK students to gain an international outlook. We are particularly keen to encourage applications from all areas of careers activity: employer liaison, information specialists, DLHE, careers education and guidance practitioners."
Applications will be considered in the light of four particular criteria:
• Breadth of Experience
• Awareness of International Student issues
• Passion for internationalisation and international aspects of careers work in HE
• What you would bring to the group, particularly in relation to innovative ideas
If you are interested in becoming a member of the group, please send an email with a covering letter and CV attached explaining your interest, highlighting any relevant experience and what you believe you could contribute to the group, to Justin Richardson by Thursday 27 April. If you would prefer an informal chat about the position or any additional information about the task group please feel free to contact Liz Robertson, via email or phone (01865 484753).
