Vacancies on the Education Liaison Task Group

AGCAS is seeking applications from members with an interest in the ongoing development of the Education Liaison Task Group.

If you regularly read “What Do Graduates Do?” then you will know that it is written by members of the Education Liaison Task Group and produced in partnership with HECSU. The publication is used by AGCAS colleagues in HE, careers advisers in schools and colleges and both parents and prospective students. The articles give a commentary which makes sense of the figures supplied by HESA/HECSU as well as insight into the kind of careers followed by students who undertake degrees in particular subjects.

Jane Howie from the Education Liaison Task Group, explains more:

“We are looking for two new members for the group to write articles and contribute to increasing awareness of the publication within AGCAS and beyond. You therefore have to like interpreting numbers and writing about potential careers!  We are keen to have a spread of members from around the UK, particularly from Wales and Northern Ireland - however all applicants are welcome. The group meets once a year for a planning meeting in either Manchester or London and also corresponds by email or conference calls.”

Further details and applying

To apply, simply send an email expressing interest along with details on any relevant experience to Jane Howie by Friday 20th January. For an informal conversation about the roles please feel free to call Jane on: 0116 252 5634.
