Nominations open for TARGETjobs AGCAS award 2017

Nominations are now open for the AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement, part of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2017. The award recognises those employers who provide outstanding support for careers services' work with students and graduates.

Celebrating employer partnerships

The AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement promotes the important contribution many employers make to the work of careers and employability services.

AGCAS member services are invited to nominate one employer (of any size and from any sector) who has demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and experience that will allow them to enter, thrive in, and gain satisfaction from the world of work.

For each employer you nominate, please answer the following questions in no more than 750 words (overall total):

1. In what ways has this employer developed or sustained a good working relationship with your service?

2. How has this employer helped you provide careers and employability opportunities, education, information, advice or guidance to your students or graduates?

3. How can the impact of the employer's input be measured?

AGCAS support

This is AGCAS's thirteenth year of supporting this award. Having AGCAS involved with the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2017 each year raises the profile of HE careers and employability work and highlights the importance of employer engagement to the 1,000 or so graduate recruiters who attend the event. Getting involved also provides you with opportunities to promote your own involvement with employers, both internally and externally. In addition, AGCAS will widely publicise both the shortlist and the winners. It's also a great opportunity for you to be seen to be appreciative of your employer partners.

Previous winners

Last year's winner was J. P. Morgan, nominated by Queen Mary University of London.
