What Happens Next? A Report on Ethnicity and the First Destinations of Graduates
What Happens Next? compares the destinations of black and minority ethnic graduates with the destinations of white graduates. In doing so, it answers questions such as: What happened to these students after they graduated? Were they successful in gaining employment? How did the jobs they entered compare to those of their ethnic majority peers? How many progressed to further study and self-employment? How did specific ethnic group affect graduate outcomes?
Although not explaining the reasons for these differences, the report hopes to provide an overview of the destinations of graduates of different ethnic groups and, in doing so, challenge many widely established views on the opportunities available to black and minority ethnic students.
