Non-Occupational Classification
The Non-Occupational Classification was produced in 2004 by the then AGCAS Classification Committee as an optional resource for individual services. The intention behind its production was to provide a system that would readily accommodate all the sources of information which services, particularly those looking to set up a single searchable database of all their resources, need to classify. This version includes suggestions on how the system might be used in flexible ways to take account of particular local circumstances or preferences. While many services may not wish to fully implement the system, rather refer to it for cross checking, it is still considered to be a useful resource by careers information specialists.
