Skills Awards Task Group: careers information resources
The AGCAS Skills Awards Task Group was formed in 2010 to enable colleagues from across the sector involved in the delivery of award schemes to discuss and share practice and collaborate with external professional bodies and employers. There is currently a wide range of awards being offered across the sector. The resources provided below have been produced to support AGCAS colleagues.
• Early in 2011, AGCAS colleagues were asked to complete an online skills and employability awards survey to identify which universities were delivering skills awards. 67 institutions responded to the survey, with an additional 10 offering to participate in future research following the development of their awards. The survey report available below includes the initial data findings. A more detailed evaluation of free text comments will be available at a later stage.
• The Skills Awards: Case Study Series has been developed to offer an insight into approaches, models and examples of good practice.
• The Sharing Practice page hosts a range of articles, papers and useful reports submitted by AGCAS colleagues.
• The Future of Skills Awards: Measuring Impact and Adding Value event, which took place in January 2012, examined various case studies of impact measurement to help inform and refine the future of skills award.
